These are our Consumer Products Success Stories:

No compromises with quality and cycle times

Gardena used new methods in tooling to create cooling channels for their injection molding process. The mold cores were created using Direct Metal, or SLM which provided exceptional quality and time savings.

Designer Utilizes SLM System to Improve Bakery Conveyor

Replacing the chain on the bakery conveyor was costly and time-consuming, but by using a 3D Systems’ SLM System to directly produce metal parts, a steam-cleaning system was designed and built to clean the chain, eliminating the need for replacement. The bakery saved time and money by not having to replace the chain each year, and the redesigned manifold was sold to other bakeries.

Cheetah Tools Creates Production Parts using SLS®

Cheetah Tool Systems develops and manufactures high-speed blind rivet fastening systems. They used 3D Systems’ SLS® Technology to design and build durable, light-weight production parts with the help of a preferred parts service provider. “If the 3D Systems’ technology wasn’t available, I would have needed a million more dollars and with all the intricate parts, it would not have been possible to complete the riveting tool.”

A Blind Man “Sees” New Home through Model

Two 3D Systems customers teamed up to create SLA and SLS models of a home for a Lousiville, Ky., family featured on ABC’s “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.” DuraForm PA and Accura 25, two “Go Pro” materials solutions from 3D Systems were used so that Patrick Henry Hughes could “see” the shape and layout of the family’s new home through touch.
